The clouds and rain finally cleared this afternoon, giving me an opportunity to capture a summer sunset. Summer sunsets don’t have the flashiness and colour of their spring and autumn counterparts, but they’re still worth watching. The crop in the foreground is peas, not something we see a lot of up here.

We had a rare break in the weather today, with the sun breaking through the clouds and the rain easing. The warm, dry conditions brought the bumble bees out in force and, after a lot of patient stalking, I managed to get a few photos of two in action on the onion flowers.
