I met the postie as I was coming back from photographing the Stonehead Circle this morning.
He handed over a couple of parcels for the Other Half, plus half a dozen letters. I plonked them all down on the lid of the chest freezer and forgot about them until I was making my lunch.
Among the letters were several Christmas cards, including one addressed in writing that was unfamiliar to me.
As I recognised all the others, I opened the unfamiliar one first.
To my surprise, it was from someone who reads the blog, expressing their thanks, wishing us a Merry Christmas and enclosing £10 as a present!
I don’t know who it was as they chose to remain anonymous, but I do appreciate the thought. Many thanks, whoever you are, and Merry Christmas to you, too.

And a Merry Christmas from me too.
You sound like one of the Two Ronnies, missus!
