Before I went out to feed the pigs this morning, I was aware of a pink glow filtering through the front windows of our house.
What I didn’t realise until I’d reached the feed shed and looked back over my shoulder was just how impressive the dawn sky was.
I decided the pigs could wait, again, and ran back into the house for the camera.
First, a view from the feed shed towards the house. Next, a view from the vegetable patch, through the trees towards Dunnideer.
Time was short—we have rugby on Saturday mornings—but those first images promised greater things if I ran to the top of our hill.
So I did. The results were worth it, even if I couldn’t wait for the sun to clear the horizon.
- The view from our vegetable patch promised much.
- Orange sky in the morning.
- The sun approaches.
- The view to the west of our croft at dawn.
- Looking south-east from our croft towards Dunnideer.
