We had a hard frost overnight, which meant the snow had a firm crust of ice this morning and that was topped by further snow falls. The boys were very pleased as they were able to run across the surface of the snow. Well, until…
…the inevitable happened and the frozen crust gave way. The Wee ‘Un suddenly dropped straight through and into the loose snow beneath. Harvey, our Border Terrier, was quite taken with this strange turn of events as it meant he was now at face height with the Wee ‘Un—who not only had cold snow up to his waist but a big, wet, slobbery dog kiss to put up with.

Surprised you managed to get a picture — I’d be laughing too hard!
Boys, what great fun you have in the snow! Harvey must love it too, as he romps around with you.
I reckon some scones and jam would go well after the fun.
That is so funny, I was in stitches when I saw this. The snow here is the same – hard to walk on, and I suddenly dropped too, but only about 4″ – not quite so much fun!
