When the sun rose to start the final day of 2009 it shone over hedges and fields shrouded in the last, genuinely heavy, snowfall of the year as well. It was an appropriate way to tend the year on the croft—cold and hard but still bright.
Lovely picture. I love to see snow but don’t really relish dealing with life when it is around. (Getting a bit old for all the extra work it produces!)
Hope 2010 isn’t as frustrating as 2009 was in some areas!
Yes, but not out our way. We’re more than two miles from the village and I’m fairly sure we were the only household, out of the five near us, that was at home last night.
Still the snow falls. We've had April snow many times before but continuous snow cover in March/April is new. Not good for spring planting. Published 1 month ago
Home at last. Left at 5.15pm to attend a Scottish Rugby workshop in Aberdeen & just got back. Now for a very late dinner. Published 1 month ago
Best wishes for 2010: may all your piglets grow fat and all your customers show up and nobody come from the council to bother you all year.
Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you and your family stoney, may 2010 bring you everything you all wish for.
Best wishes to all at the croft for 2010!
Do people still do first-footing?

Happy new year to you and your family.

Beautiful picture, and I loved your bampots playing in the snow. Happy new year to you and yours.
