Scrooge and his money

The Big Lad as Scrooge in his school’s production of A Christmas Carol. He spent weeks rehearsing his lines, practising his delivery, and working out how Scrooge’s body language would work. It all paid off with a cracking performance at school this morning, although he had a few difficulties getting Scrooge’s fire to “light”. The tissue paper flames kept falling out of the fireplace but the Big Lad didn’t let it fluster him and got there in the end. He also spent a lot of time counting his money—a very Scrooge thing to do!

  1. He looks just like you did when we were kids and you used to hoard your pocket money!

I was going suggest that he was a chip off the old block!

    • I don’t have piles of gold to count. :(

no but the intent is there!

My brother is like Scrooge and does have a few pots of gold…but he is always skint. In fact one Christmas I bought him a wallet with a padlock on it…he actually used it to the full, partially as a joke I might add, but only partially!

  3. Brilliant facial expression…he really does look very “Scrooge-like”… did wee’un have a part?
