Racing piglets

I managed to catch the action as these two Berkshire piglets went through their evening training in preparation for the Animal Olympics!

We often get a balmy day or two in between bad weather at this time of year. We can expect snow and frosts into March and April, so you have to be careful if you’re a gardener, farmer or crofter. At the moment, it’s 1C and raining hard.

Here in Minnesota, we have to wait until mid May to plant… just to make sure things survive. Cold tolerant plants like pansies do ok prior to mid may. We have a very short growing season.
