I received a large bundle of paperwork in the post on Christmas Eve. The letter was from the Scottish Government’s Environmental Quality Directorate; Water, Air, Soils and Flooding Division. It details the mandatory measures required by the revised Action Programme to limit nitrate pollution from agricultural sources in the designated Nitrate Vulnerable Zones (NVZs).
